“I was very inspired by a teaching I heard recently. The teacher detailed how the Lord brought him through a season where he learned complete reliance in him for financial provision, through people and amazing circumstances. The Lord has been inviting me to test him on the subject of provision over the past six months or so, and as my wife and I talked through it, we decided that we would not only say that we trusted him, but that we would take some practical steps to invite the Lord into our finances through giving. On a Monday evening, my wife and I decided that we would take one of our paychecks, the one that usually went to savings, and for the next three months, June, July, and August, we would give that paycheck away to someone who we felt the Lord putting on our heart. We both got pretty excited when asking the Lord where he wanted to sow his resources. Our one guideline was that we wanted to make an investment that brought more of God’s kingdom. We had some time to think and pray about it, since the next paycheck was still several days away.
The very next morning, I received a phone call from my brother. He told me that he and his wife had been thinking about it for the past two months and that they wanted to give my wife and I a car, instead of selling it. They thought it would be a blessing to us, since we only had one car between the two of us. I could tell we were right in the middle of God’s heart! We had not even given anything away yet! And the Lord was so quick to respond to our giving initiative! What a fun thing!
The following week, my boss gave me an envelope, and said thanks for all your hard work. Later, I opened the envelope to find a check for $1,000! I had never received a bonus like this before. If it would have been a smaller amount, I might have been able to justify earning the bonus, but this was completely unexpected! I could tell that something was beginning to shift in my spirit, because the first reaction to seeing the check was, “Wow! Amazing! Who is this money suppose to go to? How can we advance the kingdom of God with this large sum of money?”
The Lord is taking my family on an amazing journey. He is inviting us to say no to the overarching theme I have seen in our culture that says, we provide for ourselves. The Lord is inviting us to give him our rocks and rubble and receive his gemstones. Provision is the area that God says, test me and see if I don’t open my storehouses! The thing that I am most excited about is that as we continue to trust him and give ourselves to him, he entrusts us with more of his kingdom. That’s what I am after, and I am excited to see where this is all headed!

“This past spring a friend of our family had just started getting involved in our community. She told us that she was excited to know more about who God is. That alone is wonderful to hear, and our Father has given her a glimpse into who he is.
One Sunday at Cluster I received a word of knowledge for her during worship. I wrote it down on a piece of paper for her and shared it with her. At the end of writing down this word, a passage from Isaiah 53 came into my mind, so I wrote down 'Isaiah 53'.
About a week later she sent me a message saying thank you for sharing that word with her and that a crazy thing had happened. She said that the Monday following cluster she went out to eat and when the server came back with her change the dollar bill she received back had 'Isaiah 53' written on it! Something I would have written off as a 'strange coincidence' I now see as the Father showing someone that he loves, cares and is thinking about his children. God is awesome!”

“We met Angela in Masi on our South Africa trip. She was for all intents and purposes on her death bed. She couldn't do anything for herself. She could not even raise herself up in bed due to TB (brought on by AIDs). We shared Jesus with her and prayed with and for her often. By the end of the trip there had been a TON of improvement. She could get up, clothe herself, bathe herself, etc. But we didn't know where she stood on the diseases front.
We just heard from some of the long term missionaries that where checking up on her. They said that she has continued to get better but was having a weird pain that didn't make sense. They took her to the hospital and they did a TB test. Turns out -- SHE DOESN'T HAVE TB ANYMORE!!! Jesus healed her! The doctors said the odd pains were caused by the harshness of the medicines that she was taking (and shouldn't have been because she didn't have TB anymore).”

“Last week, I felt like God was leading me to Barnes and Noble in a specific location in OKC. When I went, I was just doing my devotional and trying to journal, but I was too distracted. I noticed a woman when I first walked in and the Lord told me to talk to her, so when I was journaling I could not write anything because the Lord kept saying “why haven’t you talked to her?”
So, I looked over at the woman and realized she was using tarot cards. I immediately felt convicted that if I didn’t step out in courage she was going to leave this place believing the tarot cards. I felt the spiritual warfare going on over this woman’s heart, and knew that if I didn’t go “fight” for her the enemy would win.
So I approached her and when she looked up I said "Ma’am, I have a question, why are you doing those cards?" She began answering me and then eventually spilled out her life story. She went on to say that she was studying to be an energy psychologist and believes in “finding your energy, and harnessing your chi”. Then, she said that her entire life she never felt balanced until 2 years ago when she started this journey. She said she grew up in church and when she was younger people thought she was crazy because of the visions and dreams she had. She explained the dreams and I knew these were gifts from the Lord!!!
Then I told her a little bit of my past so she didn’t think I had always grown up a Christian and never experienced where she was at in life trying to find herself.
I told her about my experience on the South Africa trip. I told her how I witnessed witch doctors use things such as tarot cards to curse people instead of heal them. I told her about a woman that had gone to the witch doctors over and over and NEVER saw any improvement and the one time we prayed to Jesus for her, she was healed!!! Then I asked why she was doing the tarot cards for that specific day. She said she just got out of a relationship, and went on to say that she was going to have her 4th surgery on her rotator cuff soon. She told me it was hurting at that moment. I told her I thought the Lord wanted to heal her, but that she had to receive it. So, we prayed and afterwards she said she felt a circle of energy moving through her arm, pushing out the pain. I said well "the energy" you are describing is actually the "Holy Spirit". She said her shoulder felt better but there was still some pain. I asked if we could pray again and explained how the Lord said “Pray on earth as it is in heaven”. We prayed again, and when we finished she said, “Thank you! All the pain has completely left my arm!” I said, “Don’t thank me, thank Jesus”. It was such a humbling, exciting experience and the Lord was just wanting someone to step out in faith so this woman would know she was loved.”
