Discipleship Groups
A Discipleship Group, also called a "D Group", is the place where we are most deeply received and receive others. It's the place where growing in obedience and maturity to Jesus happen most practically. It is the place where new followers of Jesus can find camaraderie on their journey of faith. "D Groups" are always gender specific and have 3 - 5 people participate.
This is the place where we get to practice our values of UP, IN, and OUT most practically in a safe and encouraging environment. These groups center around our definition of discipleship, listening and responding faithfully over time to Jesus. Typically a Discipleship Group will include prayer, ministry to one another, accountability and some outreach to those who don't yet know Jesus.
We believe a foundational principle within the kingdom of God is reproduction and, therefore, we encourage and equip Discipleship Group pastors to multiply their "nuclear families," thereby creating the "extended families" of House Churches.
